This December, the fearless and multifaceted artist Paula Romeu Garcia unveils her first-ever art exhibition, “T0PL3$$ AMERICA”, in the heart of New York City. Hosted at ALL ST GALLERY (77 East Third Street) on Monday, December 9th, from 6 PM to 9 PM, the event promises to push boundaries, spark meaningful dialogue, and celebrate the beauty of the human form.
What Is “T0PL3$$ AMERICA”?
In “T0PL3$$ AMERICA”, Paula Romeu Garcia presents a striking series of photographs featuring 13 women from her personal and professional circles performing ordinary, everyday tasks—while topless. Each woman is adorned with a unique color of the rainbow, representing individuality and diversity, while collectively symbolizing unity and inclusion.
The exhibition crescendos with a showstopping illuminated art piece: a group of topless women engaged in a book club, enveloped by the full spectrum of rainbow hues. Alongside this, Paula introduces three deeply personal, unfiltered self-portraits that were inspired by her solo journey to Costa Rica, embracing rawness and connection to nature.
Through this work, Paula explores themes of nudity, body positivity, and breaking the stigma of shame associated with the natural human form.
Meet Paula Romeu Garcia
Paula Romeu Garcia is no stranger to the spotlight. Born in Barcelona, she first captured attention at just ten years old, starring in the prime-time Spanish series Ventdelplà. Her career spans acting, modeling, directing, and writing, with collaborations including brands like Instax, Pretty Green, and Televisa.
Her socially conscious approach extends to impactful storytelling, such as her documentary Poverty of Words, filmed in Kenya for the NGO Nanofasa. Now, Paula channels her creative vision into contemporary art with her bold and boundary-pushing debut, “T0PL3$$ AMERICA”.
